He was predeceased by : his parents, Oscar H. Brooks, Sr. and Mary Payne Brooks; his siblings, Oscar H. Brooks, Jr. and Glenda Dobbs; and his father-in-law Eugene Pennington.
He is survived by : his wife Karen Brooks; his children, Aaron Brooks (Angie Blair) and Shanna; his son-in-law Carlos Gonzalez; his grandchildren, Manny Gonzalez, Kayla Gonzalez, Davis Brooks and Ana Cherry; his great grandchildren, Daniel Cherry and Anaiah Cherry; his siblings, Max (Margaret Brooks), Mickey Brooks and Judy; his brother-in-law Jerry Pilgrim; and his mother-in-law Joan Pennington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
