She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Grady Avera and Azilee Harden Avera; her husband Julius Johnnie Carter; her sons, Marvin Murphy and Jerry Murphy; her grandchildren, Josh Murphy and Amanda Murphy; and her sisters, Thelma Lucille Reynolds and Carolyn Beatrice Asmer Reynolds.
She is survived by : her son Ronnie G.; her daughter-in-law Rosie Murphy of Ray City, Georgia; and her daughter Wanda Carter of Sparks, Georgia. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; one brother.
