He was predeceased by: his parents, Adrian Stone and Lena Stone; and his son Jeffrey Stone. He is survived by: his wife Ann Stone; his daughter Jennifer Rhoden (Joseph) of Waycross; his grandchildren, Leena Rhoden of Waycross, Anthony Rhoden of Waycross and Jessica Rhoden of Waycross; and his sisters, Frances Ashley of Tennessee and Elaine Green (Bobby) of Waynesboro. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
