We are sad to announce that on June 8, 2025, at the age of 88, Betty Wilson Matthews of Stockbridge, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Wilson and Rushie Wilson; and her husband Zack Mathews. She is survived by: her children, Melissa Patrick (Clem) of Jonesboro, Ken McMillian of Atlanta, Martha McMillian of Hapeville, Steve Mathews (Robin) of Stockbridge and Stewart Mathews (Tammie) of Orlando, Florida.; and her grandchildren, Leigh Morgan (Matt) of Tyrone, Brian Mathews (Faith) of Conyers, Meredith Ratcliff (Jake) of St. Cloud, Caitlin Boggs of Williamson and Zachary Mathews of Orlando. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ford-Stewart Funeral Home (2047 Hwy 138 SE, Jonesboro, GA 30236). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Westview Cemetery (1680 Westview Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30310).
