He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Susie Byrd; his children, Corrie C Byrd III, Gary Calhoun, Stacy Wulf, Shayla Griffin, Torrie Byrd and Troy Byrd; and his parents, Mary Liza Jackson and Corrie C Byrd. He was also cherished by numerous Grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
