She was predeceased by: her father Fielding Malcolm; her husbands, Lester Stokes and Raymond Eugene Farr, Jr.; and her children, William Lester Stokes and Shirley Annette Suggs.

She is survived by: her son Roger Stokes; and her grandchildren, Regina Aster, Tim Archer, Brian Archer, Alan Scarborough, Dustin Suggs and Patrick Stokes. She is also survived by three step-grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
