He was predeceased by: his father Joel Akins; his wife Tina Burnsed Colson; and his adoptive parents, Larry Kangeter and Betty Kangeter. He is survived by: his mother Wanda Sue Waters; and his sons, James Colson (Kaytlyn Nunez) of Statesboro and Allen Colson (Brittany) of Sylvania. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters and four grandchildren.
