He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Bell Mayfield and George Montgomery of Washington; his son Joseph Carl Montgomery; and his former wife Carrie Vinson Montgomery. He is survived by: his siblings, Gertrude Easter, Ulysses George, Madison Theodore, Pearl Etta Dolphus, Maggie Bernice, Nehemiah, Faith Lee, Faristeen Qunicola and Faithie Parker; his children, Brenda Marmon (Ken), Wendell Montgomery, Michelle Thompson (Kevin), Mark Montgomery (Lisa), Timothy Montgomery (Lesle), Kisha Montgomery and Isaiah Hammonds (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Alex Tullis (Nicole), Isaiah Tullis III (Raquel), Dorcas Marmon, Rei Thompson (Jamie), Mya Doelling (Keith), Jared Montgomery (Jackie), Jordan Montgomery (Ana), Taylor Montgomery (Matt), Zaiah, Hanna and Maya Hammonds; and his great grandchildren, Isaiah IV, Caleb, Gabriel, Uriah Tullis, Adeline, Kiera Montgomery, Laurel, Avery Montgomery and Matthew James Atkyns. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and devoted friends.
In lieu of flowers, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to donate to the Bulloch County SPCA, or any charity of preference, in Joseph's memory.
