It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Katherine Weeks of Sylvania, Georgia, who passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommy McClellan and Emma Lee Brooks McClellan; her husband George Robert Weeks, Sr.; her daughter Kathy Murphy; her son-in-law Charles Fox, Jr.; and her brother Thomas Ellis McClellan.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra W. Fox of Springfield, GA, Brenda W. Rawlins (David) of Statesboro, GA and George R. Weeks, II (Leanne); her grandchildren, Charles Fox, III (Lindsay), Capricia Fox, Thomas Fox, Kyle Rawlins (Abby), Brandon Murphy, Dusty Jenkins (Christy) and Correy Walker; her great grandchildren, Victoria Brown, Ben Westbook, Siddaleigh Jenkins, Bowen Jenkins and Leanna Jenkins; her great great grandchild Olivia Brown; her son-in-law David Murphy of Sylvania, GA; her sister Linda Elliott (Vernon) of Savannah, GA; and her sisters-in-law, Betty Long and Dorothy Wilkes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thompson Strickland Waters Funeral Home, Joiner Anderson Chapel (107 Singleton Ave, Sylvania, GA 30467). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Sylvania (201 N Main St, Sylvania, GA 30467).
