He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Ward Carter; and his brother-in-law Willie Joe Seckinger. He is survived by: his sons, Theodore Carter, Angel Carter and Steven Carter; his granddaughter Emily Carter of Sylvania; and his sister Wylene Seckinger of Hampton, SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
