With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gwendolyn Baggett of Tallapoosa, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2025 at the age of 78. In the sacred silence of farewell, Gwendolyn is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Gwendolyn's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theo Anderson Langley and Flora Mae Mullins Langley; her granddaughter Kimberly Diane Austin; and her siblings, Teddy Cauthen, James Anderson Langley and William Lester Langley.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine Austin Reynolds of Tallapoosa, Billy Joe (Bonnie Austin, Jr.) and James Anderson (LaWanda Austin); her brother Robert Bruce; and her sister-in-law Janie Langley of Tallapoosa. She is also survived by grandchildren; and her 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel (71 Park Heights St, Buchanan, GA 30113). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
