He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard "Fat" Roper and Nellie Faye Roper; and his brothers, Kenneth, Danny, Johnny and Bobby Roper.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Bryant Roper of Talmo; his daughter Jennifer; his son-in-law Rusty Gravitt of Pendergrass; his stepdaughters, Rebecca Taylor of Talmo and Melissa Grizzle of Gainesville; his siblings, Freddie Roper of Talmo, Frankie Roper of Mayville, Thelma Pinnell of Gainesville and Velma Cheek of Toccoa; his grandchildren, Dauston Gravitt and Avery Gravitt; and his stepgrandchildren, Grayson Hall, Breanna Hall, Hannah Hall and Lydia Reed.
Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
