He was predeceased by: his parents, Prentice Gene Stokes, Sr. and Faye Louise Chapman Stokes; and his brothers, Buster Stokes and Benjie Stokes. He is survived by: his wife Kay Dodd Stokes; his children, Cory Stokes (Tonya), Kaylee Jean Stokes and Brandon Hayes (Melissa); his stepchildren, Carla Miller (Kyle) and Trey Shelton; his siblings, Tim Stokes (Sandy), Brenda Fresorger (Bob) and Jim Edwards (Susan); and his close friends, Tony Hartman, Matt Johnson and Darrell Goolsby. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home (304 W Elm St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
