She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Jerome Ferrell and Faye Bulloch Ferrell; her husband Charles Edward Shirah; her daughter Lisa Shirah Newton; her granddaughter Janann Abernathy; and her sister Libby Blanton.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Bloodworth (Terry) of Thomaston, Ferrell Edward Shirah (Pam) of Tyrone, GA and Charles Scott Shirah (Becky) of Hopeful, GA; her sister Sandra Ferrell Standard; and her son-in-law Irving Newton of Thomaston. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to The Gathering Church, 456 Hannah's Mill Rd, Thomaston GA 30286.
