She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennie Pearson and Leavy Ledford Pearson; her former husband William M. Oglesby; her husband Clifton Hicks; her sons, William F. Oglesby and Michael Oglesby; and her siblings, Perry Pearson, Francis Barber, Azzie Flournoy, Earlene Eppinger and Myrtle Beckham. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
