He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Thompson and Pauline Chapman Thompson; and his brother Butch Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Linda Conaway Thompson; his sons, Jimmy, Kim Thompson of Pike County, Joel and Shannon Thompson of Cumming; his grandchildren, Lauren Baker (Evan), Matthew Thompson, Taylor Thompson, Kyle Johnston, Ryan Johnston and Haley Thompson; his sister-in-law Mary Thompson of Locust Grove; his sister Sally; and his siblings-in-law, Lonnie Holmes of Thomaston, Cathryn Rogers of Thomaston and James Conaway of Chico, CA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
