We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2020, at the age of 82, Brenda Marcella Garland Dean Boyt (Thomaston, Georgia), born in Rockmart, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertis Wade Garland and Rosa Lee Cauley Garland; her former husband James B. Dean; and her brother Ronnie Garland. She is survived by: her husband Samuel Boyt of Thomaston; her children, Alfred Christopher Dean (Tracy) of Columbus, GA, Dr. Michael James Dean (Dawn) of Hilliard and Tammy Wheeless (Barry) of Thomaston; her brother Kenneth Garland; and her grandchildren, Micah Justin Dean, Fielding Stanford Dean, Ryan Dean, Jon Dean, Laney Dean, Wesley Shirley, Kailyn O'Shaughnessy, Carrie Wheeless and Caleb Wheeless.
