He was predeceased by: his brother Grover Stanley McSwain. He is survived by: his wife Sara "Cissie" McSwain; his children, Amy Shirey (Chad) of Concord, GA and J. C. McSwain (Dana) of Thomaston; and his grandchildren, Cherrie Crummie, Sabrina N. Smith, Michael Smith, Alexis Schwanbeck, Hunter Shirey and Olivia Shirey. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
