He was predeceased by: his father Leonard; and his wife Margaret Annette Langley McKissick. He is survived by: his children, Janice Sawyer (J. P.) of Concord, Deborah Weason of Thomaston and Tony McKissick of Thomaston; his brother Talmadge McKissick of Thomaston; and his grandchildren, Tamara Gill, Stephen McKissick, Kyle Adams, Amanda Edmondson, Michael McKissick and Faith Sawyer. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
