With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Floyd Bennett Sr. of Thomaston, Georgia, born in Pelham, Georgia, who passed away on May 13, 2021 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Bennett and Lillian Hampton Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Bennett; his children, Mary Ann Morris, Sherry Bennett, Jennifer Phillips, Rhonda Peacock and Evan Vaughn; and his brother Ronnie Bennett (Leigh). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
