He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe Martinez and Socorro Maciel. He is survived by: his wife Gracla Damin-Flores; and his children, Erick Martinez, Joel Martinez Jr., Imelda Martinez, Arcelia Martinez and Maricela Martinez. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters and nine grandchildren.
