He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Barnard Gordy and Bessie Mae Stribling Gordy; his granddaughter April Dawn; and his siblings, Louise Hall, Ozelle Gordy, Raymond Gordy, Buford Gordy and Jack Gordy.
He is survived by: his wife Faye H. Gordy of Thomaston; his daughters, Joanne Gordy of Thomaston and Sheila Gordy of Thomaston; and his siblings, Elaine Nordan of Thomaston, Bobby Gordy of Griffin, David Gordy (Donna) of Thomaston and Cyrus Gordy of Thomaston. He is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
