He is survived by: his wife Ann S. McDaniel of Thomaston; his children, Leigh McDaniel Davis (Bayne) of Jacksonville, FL and John McDaniel (Christy) of Auburn, AL; and his grandchildren, Anna McDaniel, Lauren McDaniel, Mary Katherine McDaniel, Ally Davis and Nolen Davis.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church Pass the Salt or House of Care Ministries, 208 South Church St., Thomaston, GA 30286.
