He is survived by: his children, Darlene Bailey (Rickey) of LaGrange, Debbie Martin (Gary) of Thomaston, Lewis Minter (Brenda) of Thomaston and Mike Sanders (Gail) of Meansville; and his brother Edward Minter. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
