She was predeceased by: her parents, Vertis Bagwell Waldrip and Eula Dot Boleman; her husband Charles Summers Birdsong; and her brother Lamar Waldrip. She is survived by: her children, Charlene Thomason of Clarksville, Henry Birdsong (Lynn) of Hoschton, GA, George Birdsong (Leigh) of Woodstock, GA and Katherine Birdsong-Wilmoth (Brian) of Virginia; her grandchildren, Dr. Katherine Verbist (Calen), Jonathan Thomason (Cecelia), Brian Birdsong, Paul Birdsong (Stefy Stand) and Anna Lynn Birdsong McCoy (Brian); her great grandchild Gwenyth Verbist; and her sibling's children, Susan McDonald, Steve Waldrip and Sherry Waldrip.
