He was predeceased by : his parents, Rev. Joel Allen Norris and Beatrice Cobb Norris; his son Joseph Allen Norris; and his siblings, J. A. Norris, Jr., Gerald Anderson and Havin Anderson.

He is survived by : his children, Katie Lynn Norris (Tony), Philip Marshal Norris and Sarah Norris; his grandson Joseph Randall Lamar Norris; his siblings, Helen Johnson (Brian), Julie Stanley-Mack (Billy), Gloria Adams (late Stan) and Ronald Norris (Ritsuko); and his close friends, Gene Autry, Randy Wombel and Larry McGill. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the funeral home to help offset expenses.
