He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stewart and Sybilla Hansen Robertson; his wife Elizabeth Robertson; his son John Stewart Robertson; and his brothers, Joseph, Michael, Raymond, Edgar, Gilbert, Siegvart and Jack.

He is survived by: his children, James F. Robertson, Jr., Jackson Hurst Robertson, Sr. and Therese Robertson; his stepdaughters, Lynn Mitchell Bostwick (James) and Deborah Mitchell Palpal; his grandsons, Jackson Hurst Robertson, Jr. and Connor Lamar Robertson; and his stepgrandchildren, Lance, Christian and Kylee Palpal.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Benedictine Military School, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, or St. Vincent's Academy.
