He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Lee and Mardell Carter; and his brother John Dale Carter. He is survived by: his children, Tiffany Carter Larson (Justin), Michael E. Carter, Jr., Heather Carter, Christina Carter and Nikki Carter Denten (Patrick); and his siblings, Rocky Carter (Ann), David Carter (Donna), Kathy Cannady and Angie Carter. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
