She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Julian Sharpe and Althea Poythress Sharpe; her husband Retired Colonel Jamie R. Hendrix; and her brother Paul Julian Sharpe, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa McKenzie, Leslie McKenzie and Cindy Groover (Mike Hendrix); her grandchildren, Christopher C. Hudson (Laura), Michael A. Groover, Suzanne M. Groover and Amber Shea Brinson; her great grandchildren, Keller Groover, Evan Groover and Fiona Hudson; the father of her children Julian H. McKenzie; and her close friends, Phyllis H. Saunders and Jacques Cousteau.
