John Young Obituary
In loving memory of John Young of Union Point, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who departed this world on October 12, 2025 at the age of 83. John leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marvin Young, Sr. and Agnes Underwood Young. He is survived by: his wife Carol Wray Young; his daughter Wendy Young Chandler (Jack); his grandsons, Andrew Chandler (Megan), Caleb Chandler, Isaac "Kenan" Chandler and John "Landon" Chandler; his great grandchildren, Sebastian and Harper; his sister Ann Yearwood (Hollis); his sibling's children, Tracye Watson (Bob) and Tim Harrison (Minan); and his pet Luke. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home and Crematory (1700 Barrington Rd, Midland City, AL 36350).
