She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Daniel and Eleanor Daniel. She is survived by: her son Bill, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Renee Bassford of Lake Park; her grandchildren, Trey Bassford, III (Rachel) of Valdosta, Megan Bassford of Valdosta, Logan Bassford of Valdosta and Madelyn Gaskin Johnson (John) of Kathleen; her great grandchildren, Saylor, Drake, Devin and Stella; her sister Betty Jean Thompson of Columbus, GA.; and her sibling's children, Melanie Stafford Treadway (Cliff), Stephen Stafford (Paul Clintworth), Melissa Stafford, Gay Thompson Taunton (Eddie), Dan Thompson, Bud Bassford (Joy), David Bassford (Kim), Lynn Bassford Mimms, Beverly Bassford Purdy and John Sims Bassford. She is also survived by numerous other great nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carson McLane Funeral Home (2215 N Patterson St, Valdosta, GA 31602). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Flowers will be accepted or donations be made to The Salvation Army or First Methodist Church to reflect JoAnn's commitment to giving back to the community she cherished.
