With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marlene Janet Williams of Valdosta, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 5, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Louelle Rogers Hunzeker; her sister Ruth Hunzeker; and her daughter-in-law Angie Jones Redshaw. She is survived by: her husband Richard C. Williams of Valdosta; her children, Diane E. Roberts of Rome, GA, Rusty (Brenda Redshaw), Joey (Faith Redshaw) and Danny (Lisa Redshaw); her half-brother Allen Hunzeker; her sister-in-law Linda Ridings (Jerry) of Canton, GA; her grandchildren, Charlie Roberts (Julie), Austin Thomas (Morgan), Erin Newton (Seth), Meredith Gray (Austin), Taylor Young (Cameron), Caroline Redshaw (Cory Dowd), Lauren Harrington (Dalton), Tori Redshaw, Josh Redshaw, Rhett Redshaw (Jordan Crowder) and Nicholas Nutting; her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Weslyn, Saige, John Austin, Jacks, Blair, Molly, Vivienne, Devin and Sydney; her nieces, Mindy Millington of Cartersville, Sandra Threlkeld (Scott) of Dawsonville, GA and Jill Tadros (Ray) of Alpharetta, GA; and her friend Donna Park of Pittsburgh, PA..
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Park Avenue Church (100 E Park Ave, Valdosta, GA 31602).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Lowndes County Animal Shelter, 337 Gil Harbin Industrial Blvd., Valdosta, GA 31601.
