She was predeceased by: her father Oscar Nelson; her husband Charles W. Jones; and her siblings, Nora Nelson, Alice Erickson, Loraine Potratz, Norman Nelson, Arthur Nelson, James Nelson and Oscar Nelson.
She is survived by: her daughter Alison; her son-in-law David Sumner of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Meridith (J. Brent Allen) and Morgan (Matthews Barnett); her great grandchildren, Claire and Colyer Allen of Jacksonville; her sister-in-law Dorothy B. Nelson of Moorhead, MN; her caregiver Mae Koonce; and her close friend Karen Boles. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hospice of South Georgia or Messiah Lutheran Church.
