Joan Delores Sweat Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Delores Sweat of Villa Rica, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2025 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Delores Sweat to pay them a last tribute.
Though Joan Delores may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joan Delores touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father Hershel Blair; her former husband Hoyt Jesse Seals; her husband David Mitchel Sweat; and her son Richard Gary Seals. She is survived by: her mother Doris Adams Blair; her children, Kelly Short and Dan Seals of Powder Springs, GA; her siblings, Joyce McCullough (Dennis) of Villa Rica, GA and Ken Blair; and her sister-in-law Ann Blair. She is also survived by five grand-daughters; several great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gateway Baptist Church (9710 High Point Rd, Villa Rica, GA 30180).
