It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Alford Roper of Waleska, Georgia, who passed away on May 27, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel Roper and Flossie Roper; and his wife Cheryl Faye Roper. He is survived by : his children, Michael (Tammy Roper), Chris (Linda Roper) and Lisa; his son-in-law Lee Stewart of Armuchee; his grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan Brooks of Jasper, Breana Brooks of Jasper, Emily Roper of Waleska, Matthew Roper of Waleska and Olivia Stewart of Armuchee; his sisters, Nettie Ruth Gravitt of Waleska and Burlen; and his brother-in-law Vernon Chaffin of Cumming. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
