He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Byron Day Tate Jr. and Mildred Lorraine Diffenderfer Tate; his wife Ruth Newman Tate; his daughter Elizabeth Marie Newman Tate; his brother Wesley Tate of Marco Island, FL; his daughters, Ellen (Tom) and Grace (Evan); his brother David Tate (Victoria); his nephew Brandon; his niece Candice; and his brother-in-law Dr. Robert Newman (Lynn). He was also cherished by his grandparents, parents and relatives.
