She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Eugene Helms; her parents, George Ward and Mildred Ward; and her siblings, Mary Vonlue McEwen and Virgil Ward.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Helms Long, Denise Crabtree (Mack), David Helms (Lisa) and Dennis Helms (Carrie); her grandchildren, Joshua Pettis, Leslie Jenkins (Timothy), Brian Pettis (Brittney), Sarah Pickell (Brandon), Stephen Long, Kristopher Helms, Neal Helms, Kenneth Helms (Jayme), David Hayward Helms and Zachary Helms; and her great grandchildren, Trevor, William Jenkins, Briley, Brison Pettis, Noah, Charlotte, Lila Kate Pickell and David Helms.
The family will accept flowers or memorial donations may be given in memory of Edith to the Music Ministry and/or Homebound Ministry at Central Baptist Church, 1120 Lake Joy Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
