He was predeceased by: his father Mitchell Burks; and his siblings, David Burks and Robin Hoyt. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Rebecca Burks of Warner Robins; his children, Jessica Burks (Chris Nicholson) of Stockbridge, Bethany Vallio (Christopher) of Perry and Brandon Huffman of Stockbridge; his mother JoAnn Burks (Dame) of Williamson; his brothers, Mike Burks (Courtney) of Connecticut, John Burks of Williamson and Mark Hoyt (Sandy) of Gray; and his grandchildren, Aiden Nicholson, Anzlee Nicholson and Piper Vallio. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
