It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Edwin Mayo (Warner Robins, Georgia), who passed away on January 26, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Mayo and Carlie Young Mayo James; his daughter Rose Mayo; his grandson David Walden; and his siblings, Elizabeth James, Wilmond Mayo and Martha Parten.

He is survived by: his wife Sara Bates Mayo; his children, Sheryl Walden (Tim) of Warner Robins, Deborah Canady (Marty) of Dublin and Robert Mayo (Julie) of Bonaire; and his siblings, James Mayo, Dorothy Lankford, Bobby James and Henry James. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund, 1322 Feagin Mill Rd., Warner Robins, Georgia, 31088.
