He was predeceased by: his parents, James Olin and Marguritte Thompson Jackson; his wife Gwen H. Jackson; and his brothers, Jim and Ted Jackson.

He is survived by: his son George Jackson; and his siblings, Bill Jackson of Byron and Nancy Grant of Marietta.
