He was predeceased by: his parent Beverly Jane Culpepper; his stepfather Olin "Pepper" Culpepper; and his brother Rodney Payne, Jr.. He is survived by: his father Rodney Payne; and his siblings, Gregory L. Payne (Rhoda) of Bonaire, Chadwin D. Payne (Victoria) of Yatesville, Andrew L. Payne of Dallas, Texas, Jared Payne of Dallas, Texas, Joey Culpepper of Pensacola, Florida and Natasha Culpepper of Red Level, Ala.
