It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Tompkins (Warner Robins, Georgia), born in Bath, South Carolina, who passed away on July 12, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira J. Tompkins and Ruby J. Godbee Tompkins; and his brother Julian Tompkins. He is survived by: his wife Emily Joyce Bridges Tompkins of Warner Robins; his daughters, Julie Wood (Steve) of Cumming, Beth Braunstein (David) and Cindy Bookout (Todd); his grandchildren, Jonathan, Hannah Wood, Elizabeth Day (Bryan), William, Wesley (Carolina), Dillon Braunstein, Callie and Connor Bookout (Kayla); his great grandchildren, Shane Braunstein, David, Adam Loring and Lily Day; and his sister Billie Ruth Russell.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Leon Tompkins to the Sandy Valley Baptist Church Project Fund, 1124 S. Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
