She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Carl Christian Hess and Margaret Pearl Noel Hess; her husband Ralph Shank; her sons, Stephen Shank and Timothy Shank; her siblings, Dot Huffman, Ruth Adams and Harold Hess; her children, Cindy Elkins (Jim) of Watkinsville, GA, Susan Taylor (Van) of Calhoun, GA and Jonathan Shank of Hawkinsville, GA; her sister Nancy Kohlstruk (Ernie) of Mechanicsburg, PA; her grandchildren, Christopher Elkins (Samantha), Becky Holder (Blaine), Maggie Taylor, Jenni Taylor and Hope Taylor; and her great grandchildren, Tabitha Elkins, Levi Elkins, Luke Elkins, Olivia Holder and Paisley Holland. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews; and other extended family and loving friends.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to a charity of donor's choice.
