He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Lipps and Goldie Lipps; his daughter Tammy Franklin; his grandchild Brooke Lipps; and his cousin Doyle Benfield.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Lipps; his children, Lisa McKee (Scott) and David Lipps (Jessica); his grandchildren, Ashlee Williams (Leah), Codey Lipps (Chanteall), Tyler McKee, Cameron, Nathan, Evan and Nancy Glover; his great grandchildren, Tate Williams and Brooklyn Lipps; his sister Shirley Jones Bledsoe; his nieces, Deborah Pannell and Connie Stapleton; and his cousin Jean Tinkle.
