He was predeceased by: his parents, John N. Shockley and Juanita McCormack Shockley; and his brother David Shockley. He is survived by: his wife Trisha Shockley; his children, Kelly Nicole Segers, Kayla Shepherd (Kenny) and Kristen Shockley (Melissa); his friend Aaron Wisner; his grandchildren, Reilynn Lane Melvin, Kenneth Wayne Shepherd III (Tripp) and Braylee Melvin; his mother-in-law Sis Alexander; his siblings, Rachel Ford and Michael Shockley; his nephew Adrian Ford; and his niece Karen Ford Price (Mike).

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
