He is survived by: his siblings, Melvina Billups of Chesapeake Virgina, Vernon (Arleathia) and Lawrence Billups (Bonita) of Virginia; his adoptive daughter Velera Nelson; and his granddaughter Monica Wallace Cornish. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
