She was predeceased by: her parents, C. L. "Sam" and Gloria Maples Sammons; and her husband Mayor Donald Walker. She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie Walker; her grandchildren, Amanda Rainey and Joshua Rainey; and her siblings, Joyce Parnell (David) of Bossier City, Elaine Chandler (Cary) of Bossier City and Bill Sammons (Robin) of Katy, Texas..
