He was predeceased by: his parents, James Childs and Leatha Boyd Childs. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ellen Uehling; and his sisters, Sandy Mead of Alabama and Debra Gabel (Ron) of California.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice in Ronald's memory.
