He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Johnson Cater, Jr. and Hedvig Swanson Cater; his wife Nancylee R. Cater; his sons, Thomas Jere Cater, Jr. (Tamra) and John Owen Cater (Brittany); and his grandchildren, Asher Owen Cater, Katharine Lanier Cater and Skylar Jo Cater.
