He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wendell W. Smith and Ruby Dickens Smith; his siblings, Betty Elder, Jean Davis and Daniel D. Smith; his wife Janice Fink Smith of Milledgeville; his sons, Steve Smith (Kay) of Watkinsville, Danny Smith (Amy) of Milledgeville and Wendell Smith of Warner Robins; his sister Barbara S. Griffin; his brother-in-law Cecil Davis of Sparta; and his grandson Jared Smith of Atlanta. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog.
